When and where is the Duck Race?
The event will be held on October 7th & 8th at the
Marina in beautiful Safety Harbor, Florida.  The ducks will be released on Saturday, October 8th at approximately 3:00-4:00pm into the TampaBay waterway and travel a course determined by the presenters and end by the Marina for all to see. Weather conditions or other interference may affect race time.

Are you racing real ducks?

No, 3,000 rubber ducks will race for cash prizes plus an additional 1,000 in the Duck Pond for hourly non-cash prizes.
How does the Duck Race work?
For a $5 duck donation to H2O Lucky Duck Race, you will be given an adoption number for your duck. There are two different ways to win either cash or prizes.

What are the prizes?

You may adopt either a Race Duck eligible for a chance to win guaranteed cash prizes only (3) or adopt a Pond Duck eligible for a chance to win one of over 20 non-cash prizes.  Cash and non-cash prizes are listed on Prize page.

How can I adopt a duck?
Adoptions for the upcoming race will begin September 16th at
SafetyHarbor’s 3rd Friday event on Main Street.  You may also adopt a duck(s) by visiting our website:  www.H2OLuckyDuckRace.com  or calling Duck Central @ 727-412-8522.  We will also be selling ducks at the Safety Harbor Marina on the days of the event and race if we have not sold out prior to Race Day.

What is the deadline for duck adoptions?
We do have a limited number of ducks - 3,000 race ducks and 1,000 pond ducks.  Once we have sold all 4,000 ducks the adoptions will close.  You are encouraged to join the fun and make your adoption ASAP.
Where do all the proceeds go?
The proceeds will be divided between
MagicBeansVillage, the Safety Harbor Museum of Regional History, and The Elena Tresh Foundation, all non-profit 501(c)(3) organizations.
